Local, National and International Mission
Local Mission
God calls us to share the love of Jesus Christ and spread the good news of salvation. One of the many ways we do this is through our mission program. Through the generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure of every member of our congregation, we are able to reach out to those in need right here in our local community, across the nation, and as far away as the Himalayan region of India.
Pocono Area Transitional Housing (PATH)
Many years ago, one of our long-time members, along with Church Women United, had a vision for Pocono Area Transitional Housing (PATH). Our congregation supports PATH in many ways: we offer financial support through our general mission budget; for 27 years we hosted an annual PATH luncheon; in 2018 we began a PATH Chicken Pot Pie Sale; and we continue to support many PATH functions and fundraising projects throughout the year.
United Way of Monroe County
Our church is committed to supporting the work of United Way. Each year several members take part in the annual United Way Day of Caring, and in doing so, they help other local charitable organizations by assisting in various building and/or refurbishing projects.
Habitat for Humanity
We are a covenant church with the Monroe County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. We provide financial assistance to the local chapter through our general mission budget while several of our members have taken an active part in the local chapter’s builds throughout the year.

We support the work of the local Salvation Army through fund-raising and the gift of many of our members who work closely with their mission to support those in significant need.
Meals on wheels
We support the work of Meals on Wheels through fund-raising and the work of our congregants.
individual callings
Not all our local mission is through an organization. Our members serve some greater cause, doing so as part of their walk of discipleship. We support each other as we each answer our call to love God and love our neighbor.
Mission Giving
Our church’s budget allocates to mission projects here and around the world. Financial support is provided to Lehigh Presbytery, the Synod of the Trinity, and the General Assembly of the PC(USA) mission projects, locally, nationally, and internationally. We also provide a short-term mission fund, which assists members who wish to travel throughout the country or around the world for hands-on mission opportunities.
In addition to our regular giving, we receive three special PCUSA offerings throughout the year: One Great Hour of Sharing throughout Lent, Peacemaking Offering during World Communion, and Christmas Joy throughout Advent.
Kirkwood Camp and Conference Center
We support Kirkwood Camp's mission to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ by enabling children, youth, families and adults to begin or deepen their experience of God in the context of nature and a caring Christian community centered on the Word of God. Nestled in a hidden valley in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains near Stroudsburg, PA. Kirkwood Camp is a beautiful 292 acre sanctuary with meadows, woodlands with abundant wildlife. Mountain ridges and big Pocono Creek punctuate the serene beauty of Kirkwood. Accredited by the American Camp Association, Kirkwood Camp offers a full range of summer camp experiences for all ages, including Traditional Camps, Arts Camps and Adventure Camps.
Kirkridge Retreat Center
We also support Kirkridge, a conference center between Stroudsburg and Bangor which offers many opportunities for individuals who are seeking a closer relationship with God.
Women’s Resources of Monroe County
We support Women’s Resources of Monroe County which provides free and confidential counseling to victims of domestic and sexual violence. They also provide safe shelter and 24 hour emergency hotline.
