Concert by Pocono Concert Chorale

A not-to-be-missed concert will be presented here in our First Pres sanctuary on Sunday, April 28th, at 2:30pm when the Pocono Concert Chorale will perform Handel’s immortal Messiah—parts II and III. The Chorale, soloists, and orchestra will be conducted by Dr. James Maroney, and soloists include our own Dan Hoy and Patricia thor Straten-Mohr.

In this work, Handel highlights the essential theme of our Christian faith—the sacrifice and triumph of our Lord Jesus—in memorable lyrical settings of Biblical texts. We all know the “Hallelujah” chorus, which concludes part II. The words and music will be an uplifting summary of our Lenten and Easter season.

Tickets are $10 (adults); $8 (seniors 60+); and $5 (students) and will be available at the door or in advance from Pat or Dave or any chorus member. Your presence will also help us welcome the visitors to our great sanctuary space.
